One of Indonesia’s most experienced bankers, with last position as President Director of CIMB Niaga for two consecutive terms. Previously, Arwin has served as President Director of PT Telekomunikasi Indonesia Tbk, Vice-President Director of PT Bank Negara Indonesia Tbk, and President Director of PT Bank Danamon Tbk. Arwin started his banking career at the Bank of America in 1980, and joined PT Bank Niaga Tbk in 1987 where he stayed for more than two decades, rising through the ranks to the Vice President Director role. In 1999, he was invited to join the Indonesian Bank Restructuring Agency (IBRA) to handle risk management and credit. In 2000, he was appointed as the Vice Chairman of IBRA. Arwin earned his Bachelor degree in Development Studies from the Faculty of Economics, University of Indonesia in 1981, and a Master’s degree in International Economics and an MBA in International Business from the University of Hawaii, USA with scholarship from the East-West Center. Ever a learner, Arwin has also continued his education through various executive educations at Harvard, Wharton, and INSEAD.
